Background

Timac Agro is part of Groupe Roullier. The business has been active since 1959 and operates across global agricultural markets. Its UK arm focuses on plant and animal nutrition and provides fertiliser and crop nutrition products tailored to local farms and soil conditions. The UK team needed to grow, but the business faced challenges. Larger competitors had stronger visibility. This reduced candidate awareness and slowed hiring.

The roles in scope included Technical Sales Manager, Product Manager, Business Development Manager and Business Development Director.


Challenges

Timac Agro UK needed to attract experienced commercial and technical talent. The main barriers were limited brand recognition in the UK market and a requirement for candidates with proven agricultural knowledge who could work in field-based roles. The company needed a structured process to reach candidates who were not actively applying for roles.


Solution

Implementation

A 12-week project ran from August 2025 to October 2025. Louis identified 500 relevant profiles in the UK agriculture market. Each candidate was screened for passion for agriculture, commercial strength, willingness to work in the field and long-term potential.

Phase 1. Candidate sourcing
 Louis conducted a structured screening call with each candidate. The aim was to validate skill fit, sector understanding and motivation.

Phase 2. Internal interview support
Candidates who passed the first stage were scheduled for a 30-minute video call with the UK leadership team. Those who progressed were invited to a group interview session in Cambridge.

Phase 3. Recruitment day
Louis attended the recruitment day to support coordination, candidate preparation and feedback. This ensured a consistent and positive experience for both the leadership team and all applicants.


Success Measures

• A pipeline of 500 relevant profiles
 • Quality screening based on four clear criteria
 • Consistent communication with candidates and the client
 • At least 25 candidates attending the in-person assessment day

• 25 candidates attended the recruitment day
