This organisation has a strong portfolio of products, sold across all life science and clinical markets, including but not limited to collection & stabilisation equipment, DNA & RNA Isolation kits, and NGS/Sanger Sequencing products.

The Role

Due to continued growth, there is now a new opportunity for a Digital Marketing & Wed Manager to join the commercial team. This position will be based in the head which is within commuting distance of both Washington D.C. & Baltimore, MD. The role will take full responsibility for product and brand marketing using digital/web-based efforts.


  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • Experience with web management or web design, understanding of digital marketing including, but not limited to SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, and web analytics.
  • Experience within the Life Sciences or a scientific background is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing principles strategies and communications.
  • A strong understanding of graphic design would be desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Magento and WordPress Platforms.
  • Proficient with HTML and web design.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Role & Responsibilities


  • Take full responsibility for the development and maintenance of the company’s website prioritising user experience and search engine visibility.
  • Drive all web-based marketing strategies & campaigns using the company’s website and other relevant digital means (social media etc.)
  • Review and implement editing requests for the company’s website.
  • Drafts, implements, maintains, and revises online marketing campaigns to drive sales and revenue to the company.
  • Coordinates with other marketing team members to ensure active promotions and campaigns are represented on the website(s).
  • Develops and expands the company’s web presence through social media, email, web advertising, and other online sources; continuously promoting the company’s brand through these channels.
  • Work cross-functionally with the web development & design teams whilst guiding marketing-related aspects of the company’s web presence.
  • Collaborates with web design, development, and content staff to monitor and improve search engine optimisation (SEO) results for the company’s site(s).
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in online marketing.
  • Assists with budget preparation for the marketing department.
  • Uses Adobe InDesign software to write and format protocols.
  • Creates new and/or utilises existing photos/imagery/graphics to enhance the visual appearance of the websites.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
