DACH Director of Business Development (Aerospace & Defence) - Remote – Up to €150,000 base + bonus
We are currently working with a global Aerospace & Defence solutions provider with an established footprint across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. As part of their growth strategy, they are currently seeking a highly driven DACH Director of Business Development to take ownership of commercial development as well as working on preexisting accounts within the region.
This is an individual contributor role, offering the opportunity to lead business growth in a strategically important market and work directly with key defence stakeholders.
Responsibility Overview:
- Lead business development efforts across the DACH region, with full ownership of growth strategy and execution.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships, OEMs, and governmental entities.
- Develop tailored logistics solutions supporting a wide range of shipments, from small loads to large scale transport requirements across Air & Sea.
- Manage and support the coordination of licensing requirements relevant defence logistics operations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring high service levels and identifying opportunities for long-term collaboration.
- Represent the business in client meetings, with a strong emphasis on face-to-face relationship building when required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial growth within defence, aerospace, or specialised defence logistics.
- Strong understanding of working with defence contractors and government organisations.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, high-responsibility environment.
- Relationship-driven approach, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Experience in operating across the DACH region.
- Strong communication skills
