The Client:
Our client is a leading, private-equity-backed, distributed generation platform focused on the high-growth community solar and storage sector. The business originates, develops, finances, and operates projects statewide.
Location: New York City - (4 days a week in the office)
The Role:
The Director of M&A will originate, negotiate and close Community Solar deals nationwide. This role will be originating from the ground up through to hand-off to the construction team, targeting projects at or prior to NTP. The position will be based in New York, and requires the chosen candidates to be in the office 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originating and evaluating new M&A opportunities.
- Conducting thorough due diligence and financial analysis.
- Overseeing the structuring, negotiation and closing of transactions.
- Identifying potential risks and opportunities in the market.
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all transactions and agreements.
- Managing development process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience originating and closing deals - preferably within the DG renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of managing and closing high-value transactions.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
