Required experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or a related field. 
  • 3 Years of Food and Beverage experience in new business development, with a proven track record of selling Testing solutions to those customers. 
  • Proven history of closing complex deals €50k+. 
  • Relevant experience in selling solutions to Food and Beverage. 
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, and closing. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Role & Responsibilities

The role

This role is classified as a “hunter,” meaning you will prospect for new business within companies that currently do not work with our client. You will sell FCID’s non-GMO Testing Services to Food & Beverage Manufacturers across Germany. You will also prospect for new business accounts in the Testing Services segment execute sales strategies, and drive business growth. You must navigate B2B sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders. 


Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement sales plans to meet revenue targets and pursue new revenue and business within accounts that do not currently work with our client for their F&B Testing services. 
  • Position our client's Testing capabilities and align those with the specific needs of prospective customers. 
  • Ensure that customer requirements are met by collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized Testing solutions that meet customer expectations. 
  • Understand and translate customer needs and business drivers into creating new Testing opportunities. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders such as Product, Marketing, Sales, Support, and the Executive sponsor to manage the customer strategically. 
  • Design and execute an account plan that represents the direction for gaining new Testing business in new logo accounts. 
  • Successfully negotiated and close business deals, including significant direct customer-facing negotiations. 
  • Manage pipeline funnel to guarantee forecast, linearity, and predictability of new revenue. 
  • Given the complexity of these Testing solutions, work closely with internal subject experts to assess the viability of solutions. 
  • Record all communication and plans in Salesforce.
