We are working alongside our client in the energy transition sector based in Dublin to hire a Head of Transactions

The Client

Our client is an established renewable energy developer, with a pipeline of projects 10+ GW across key international markets. They are one of the most active and experienced developers in each of these geographies and across all of these areas they have an outstanding success rate in gaining planning permission. 


Location: Dublin


Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, and an MBA or advanced degree is preferred. In terms of experience, we are looking for someone with a minimum of 8 years of transaction experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex financial transactions within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector. Furthermore, the Head of Transactions must have strong financial modeling skills, an in-depth understanding of project financing and M&A processes, and excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Salary: €125k - €145k


Role & Responsibilities

The Role and Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for someone to lead the transactions team and drive the overall commercial strategy of the business. The Head of Transactions will report directly to the COO and collaborate closely with the development, finance, operations, and legal teams to align and support the growth of the company as it transitions to an Independent Power Producer (IPP). 


In this role, the chosen individual would play a central role in preparing, managing, and executing transactions and be responsible for optimising the current and future pipeline in terms of asset divestments/investments, joint ventures, partnership opportunities, project financing, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the Head of Transactions would lead the due diligence for each transaction, conducting thorough financial analysis, risk assessment, market research, and asset valuation, to facilitate robust decision-making.
