About the Role

Mackinnon Bruce is partnering with a leading speciality materials manufacturer to appoint a Key Account Manager – Geosynthetics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing key accounts within the Geosynthetics segment. This role focuses on driving sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction by building strong partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Sales and EBITDA in the Geosynthetics segment within the MAGB region.
  • Develop and implement a business plan aligned with budget targets and segment strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage sales support activities, including tenders, documentation, and quotations; ensure accurate CRM updates.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identify market trends and customer needs to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Initiate product development opportunities by providing feedback and market insights to R&D.
  • Oversee order processing in coordination with production planning and other relevant departments.
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand distribution points in both existing and new market segments.
  • Take ownership of the customer relationship across all departments to ensure a superior customer experience.


Requirements

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred, but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales-related role.
  • Experience in civil engineering, building materials, or builders’ merchant markets is highly valued.
  • Valid driving licence required.

Languages:

  • Fluent English (written and verbal) required.
  • Additional languages are an advantage but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel frequently (approximately 30%) across the UK, with occasional overseas travel.
