Our client provides leading & innovative design and planning solutions to large and complex civil infrastructure, water & wastewater, transportation, and environmental infrastructure projects.

The Role & Responsibilities

In the role of Practice Development Office Leader, this is an exciting and senior level opportunity to join an expanding team and business who are heavily invested in the Water and Wastewater sectors.


This senior level leadership opportunity will focus on the successful oversight and technical delivery of a wide portfolio of Water and Wastewater projects in the Mid & South Atlantic region as well as actively playing in a part in marketing and business development opportunities to increase the market share and future projects in the region.


As the role will also focus on the continued growth of the Water and Wastewater practice you will leverage your existing contacts within the industry as well as identify and pursue new business development opportunities, securing future work alongside the current pipeline of work already secured with both public and private clients in the Mid Atlantic and South Atlantic regions.


  • Oversee the successful oversight and delivery of a wide range of Water and Wastewater projects for both public and private clients.
  • Projects include (but not limited to) are: - Wastewater, Water Transmission, Distribution and Storage, Water Conveyance, Sewage Collection, Water Pipelines, Wastewater Treatment, Rehabilitation and Stormwater Management.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial concept/design, through to completion including managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, project management, QA & QC, client interaction and sub-contractor management.
  • Oversee the coordination of project activities and work force planning, organising project teams and directing project staff where required.
  • Actively partake and engage in business development and proposals activities, leveraging existing client relationships as well as helping to identify new opportunities, increasing the market share and pipeline of projects for future work.
  • Acting as the Technical primary contact with clients.
  • Ensure the review and certification of engineering documentation per project, ensuring that project control and standards are met.
  • Develop and oversee construction administration.
  • Oversee project management activities including scope, schedule, budgets, and quality, undertaking technical tasks including research, design, reporting and plan preparation.
  • Develop and mentor junior and senior staff engineers within the team.


Requirements\Qualifications

  • Educated with a Bachelor of Science in a related field.
  • P.E Certified.
  • Demonstrable experience of across Water and Wastewater related projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management & leading teams.
  • Demonstrable experience in state of North Carolina (NC).
  • Ability to use software applications including MS Office & AutoCAD 3D.
