Description

Mackinnon Bruce are partnered with a leading life sciences manufacturer who are seeking a driven Sales Representative to expand its footprint across the U.S. market. This role is ideal for a true “hunter” and someone energised by opening doors, building pipelines from scratch, and winning new business in highly technical environments.


You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth for a portfolio of Cell Culture Media solutions, working directly with customers across Academia, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and related research-driven organisations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within assigned territory
  • Work closely with the CEO and Sales team to develop, manage and grow the territory
  • Drive adoption of Cell Culture Media products through consultative, solution-based selling
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with researchers, lab managers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers
  • Develop and execute territory plans with a clear focus on pipeline generation and revenue growth
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close
  • Accurately track opportunities, activities, and forecasts using Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, marketing, operations) to ensure customer success
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer needs


Candidate Profile

  • Proven hunter mentality with a strong track record of new account acquisition
  • Experience selling cell culture media, serums, reagents, or related life science consumables
  • Comfortable selling into academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical environments
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organised in a remote/field-based role
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field preferred
