We are working alongside our client in the renewable energy sector, based in Europe, to appoint an experienced Bid Manager to support complex offshore wind tenders across multiple markets.

The client
Our client is a well-established player in the offshore wind sector with a strong European footprint. The business is recognised for delivering technically robust, commercially competitive turbine solutions across utility-scale offshore projects, supporting the continued expansion of renewable energy infrastructure.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations and Business Performance, the Bid Manager will lead the full bid lifecycle for offshore wind projects. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, engineering, and project delivery, playing a critical part in securing profitable, bankable offshore wind contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end bid preparation for offshore wind turbine supply, installation, and service contracts.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs across sales, engineering, construction, and project teams to deliver compliant, competitive proposals.
- Develop pricing strategies by consolidating turbine cost models, logistics, installation, commissioning, and O&M inputs.
- Optimise turbine configurations (layouts, power curves, tower options, BoP interfaces) in close collaboration with engineering and sales engineering teams.
- Identify, assess, and manage bid-related technical, financial, and contractual risks.
- Maintain accurate bid documentation, ensuring version control, auditability, and on-time submission of all tenders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree advantageous.
- 4–5 years’ proven experience in bid management, ideally within offshore wind or large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Solid understanding of wind turbine technology, offshore installation processes, and O&M principles.
- Strong project management, organisational, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting demanding bid deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant bid management tools.
