The client

Location: Fredericia, Jylland, Denmark (hybrid)
Travel: Jylland and occasional visits to Zealand
The Role
As part of the Control Systems team, you will contribute to developing, maintaining, and optimising automation and control systems across multiple energy facilities. Your work will involve system configuration, troubleshooting, instrumentation, and project management to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support, diagnose technical faults, and troubleshoot issues within SCADA/DCS systems. I think that experience with ABB Melody and 800xA is beneficial.
- Assist in optimising plant processes by implementing new measurement techniques and system improvements.
- Oversee maintenance projects and lead system upgrades, managing both large and small-scale refurbishments in collaboration with external partners.
- Ensure compliance by preparing and updating technical documentation in line with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support strategic CAPEX initiatives aimed at modernizing and enhancing energy infrastructure.

Requirements\Qualifications
- Hold a background in electrical engineering, such as an engineering degree, marine engineering qualification, or a similar certification.
- Possess strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills for complex energy plant operations.
- Work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Have a solid technical and practical understanding of power plant systems, including planning, implementation, and commissioning of control systems.
- Have experience with documentation management, maintenance systems like SAP or similar, and ideally familiarity with power plant control systems such as ABB Melody and 800xA—or a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
