Description

Our client is a global leader in fragrances and flavours. Due to the continued growth and success of the business, they are looking to hire a Senior Flavorist to join their HQ in Spain. The position will be responsible for global flavour creation and partnering with many of their global offices to provide technical and innovation support.


The Role

  • Manage projects for the development of flavours and aromas for all global subsidiaries, tailored to local tastes and requirements.
  • Develop the internal collections and specific flavour profiles for different regions.
  • Work hands-on in the laboratory to develop innovative and new flavour creations.
  • Ensure a high quality of product leaving the creation laboratory.
  • Work with reformulations to solve cost or raw material issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement and new methodologies in the laboratory.
  • Mentor and Coach junior/trainee Flavorists in the business.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to ensure new concepts delivered are in line with customer requirements and strategy.
  • Work directly with clients on new innovations and share ideas.
  • Work on cross-category flavour development.


The Requirements

  • Several years of experience working as a fully qualified Flavorist.
  • Good level of working English, written and verbal.
  • Able to work in the EU without sponsorship and also willing to be based onsite at the company office 5 days per week.
  • Experience working cross category.
  • Experience working globally with a variety of different customers and taste profiles.
  • Strong technical and analytical background. Degree or MSc in chemical engineering, Food Science or an aligned scientific field.
