Our client is a leading fragrance and flavor manufacturer with an extensive history in the US and globally.


Due to the continued growth of the business, they are looking to hire a Senior Fragrance Evaluator to join the team in the Southeast region. The role will be responsible for leading creative fragrance development from concept to commercialization for customers across home, personal care and fine fragrances. Customers are a mixture of national, regional and global customers. We are looking for an individual motivated to work in a team environment that is fast paced.


The Role

  • Possess a strong olfactive memory of classic fragrance families and market products.
  • Read and interpret customer projects and apply to company projects.
  • Select fragrances either through the fragrance library, panel testing or working with perfumery on new creation and/or modification.
  • Evaluate and analyze technical performance of fragrances in various bases including emulsions, waxes and hydro-alcoholics.
  • Maintain evaluation and product testing database.
  • Motivate and aid the sales, perfumery, and marketing departments in creative inspiration for fragrance development including fragrance trend analysis.
  • Ongoing management of projects with all needed departments to ensure client satisfaction and sales.
  • Continuation of market study (domestic and international) by category and odor type
  • Create and present new concepts.


The Requirements

  • Experience working within a fragrance house of finished fragrance brands developing fragrances for several years.
  • Degree educated within chemistry or aligned scientific field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple briefs at the same time.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Strong olfactive background and experienced developing fragrances in a commercial environment.
  • Experience within home and personal care categories. Fine fragrance is a plus.
  • Fluency in English written and verbal.
