We are working alongside our client in the energy transition sector based in Dublin to hire a Senior Investment Associate

The Client

Our client is an established renewable energy developer, with a pipeline of projects 10+ GW across key international markets. They are one of the most active and experienced developers in each of these geographies and across all of these areas they have an outstanding success rate in gaining planning permission.


Location: Dublin


Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, and an MBA or advanced degree is preferred. In terms of experience, we are looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years of complex financial transactions experience in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector. Furthermore, the chosen candidate must have strong financial modeling skills and a good understanding of the M&A and project finance processes, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of the renewable energy market and relevant trends.


Salary: €95k - €105k


Role & Responsibilities

The Role and Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Associate to join the transactions team and play an important role in shaping the overall commercial strategy of the business. The Senior Associate will report directly to the Head of Transactions and collaborate closely with the development, finance, operations, and legal teams to help drive the company's transition to an Independent Power Producer (IPP).


In this role, the chosen individual would play a central role in preparing, managing, and executing transactions and would be responsible for optimising the current and future pipeline in terms of asset divestments/investments, joint ventures, partnership opportunities, project financing, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the Senior Associate would conduct thorough due diligence for each transaction, and work closely with the internal financial modeling team to build and maintain models and forecasts to aid evaluations and negotiations.
