The Role
The Project Planner will play a central role in developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules for wind turbine installation, commissioning, and balance-of-plant activities. Working closely with project, engineering, logistics, and construction teams, the role ensures schedule integrity from early project development through to execution.
This position requires close coordination across European and LATAM teams, supporting consistent planning standards while managing regional requirements and constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling

- Develop baseline schedules and manage updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare what-if scenarios, recovery plans, and mitigation strategies to protect critical paths.
Cross-Regional Coordination
- Coordinate schedule inputs from regional teams, subcontractors, and partners across Europe and LATAM.
- Align planning processes with regional regulations, working practices, and resource constraints.
- Track availability of key resources (crews, cranes, equipment, logistics) and integrate into project plans.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor site progress using reports, KPIs, and earned value metrics.
- Provide regular schedule updates, variance analysis, and risk visibility to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
- Proactively identify delays, risks, and critical path impacts.
Process & Tools
- Support the use and optimisation of planning tools and platforms (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, ERP systems).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO or construction organisation.
- Work closely with logistics, HSE, quality, and construction teams to ensure realistic and executable plans.
Requirements
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–5+ years’ experience as a Project Planner / Scheduler, ideally within renewable energy, wind, or industrial construction.
- Strong proficiency with planning software (Primavera P6 preferred; MS Project acceptable).
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, heavy-lift operations, logistics, and commissioning.
- Experience managing multi-country or multi-region project schedules.
Desirable
- Wind industry experience with turbine OEMs or EPC contractors.
- Exposure to European and/or LATAM permitting, logistics, or regulatory environments.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Spanish or Portuguese language skills in addition to English.
Work Environment
- Based in a European or LATAM hub, with regular coordination across both regions.
