About the Company:
A market-leading international manufacturer of optical fiber and cable systems is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their EMEA Engineering team. This hire is part of a planned transition, offering the incoming engineer the chance to inherit a mature project portfolio and make an immediate impact.
The Role:
This position focuses on end-to-end technical design, customization, and project delivery across telecom, enterprise, and carrier network customers. Youβll act as a technical expert supporting internal teams and partners across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create BOMs, datasheets, and single-line diagrams for complex optical cable projects.
 - Customize cable system solutions for carrier networks, enterprise clients, and defense sectors.
 - Support internal stakeholders (sales, operations, product management) and external partners.
 - Deliver technical workshops and training sessions for partners and end-users (approx. 25% travel).
 - Align designs with product management for standardization and quality.
 
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Telecom, Electrical, or related).
 - 2β5 yearsβ experience in optical fiber or telecom system design.
 - Strong technical communication and coordination skills.
 - Fluent in German and English.
