Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Technical Account Manager with a proven ability to develop new business and close strategic deals. This role is focused on growth within the Personal Care Cosmetics, Food. The ideal candidate thrives on building relationships, connecting with decision-makers, and turning prospects into long-term partners.
You should be comfortable engaging with Procurement, R&D, and Technical Directors, and ideally bring a strong industry network.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Business Development: Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of prospects across Canada and the U.S.
- Networking: Represent the company at global conferences and industry events to identify opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.
- Lead Qualification: Evaluate prospects, market segments, and decision-maker profiles to identify high-value opportunities.
- Consultative Selling: Develop trust and deliver value-driven solutions, fostering long-term partnerships with manufacturers.
- Sales Process Management: Navigate complex sales cycles using a structured, customer-first approach.
- Tools & Systems: Effectively use CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, quoting tools, and industry databases (e.g., UL Prospector) to stay organised and efficient.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
- 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in Personal Care & Cosmetics, Food.
- Proven ability to both nurture assigned leads and proactively prospect new business.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly adaptable, organised, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
