Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Equipment & Safety Coordinator to manage test equipment, workplace safety, and prototype setup activities across the EMEA region for a leading global provider of optical communications and data solutions. This role is ideal for a technically minded professional with hands-on experience in test equipment, lab coordination, and workplace safety compliance.


As the Technical Equipment & Safety Coordinator, you will ensure the availability and functionality of test equipment, coordinate shipments, support prototype setups, and drive workplace safety initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineering, application, and operations teams to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and process compliance. This position is based in Berlin, Germany, with responsibilities across the EMEA region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability, calibration, maintenance, and repair of test equipment, maintaining an accurate inventory.
  • Coordinate the shipment and return of test equipment and product samples to internal and external partners, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Act as a Workplace Safety Coordinator, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety guidelines, and ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations.
  • Assemble, wire, and evaluate prototype setups, primarily in structured fibre optic cabling, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements.
  • Review and approve test reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with internal quality standards.
  • Support the team with general administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with application engineering and operational teams to optimise testing processes and product handling procedures.


What You’ll Bring

  • Completed technical or commercial training, preferably with experience in test equipment, workplace safety, or technical administration.
  • Familiarity with prototype setups, test equipment, and workplace safety standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills, structured and independent working style, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in both German and English.
