MSc level degree in Electrical Engineering.
A track record in project delivery and leading a team of engineers & assembly engineers.
Experience of working with power electronics, EV batteries, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
Experience in Electrical Design Engineering, both High Voltage & Low Voltage.
Experience in the management of Health and Safety Processes and risk assessments
Experience in project management in a complex environment

Role & Responsibilities
The role of Technical Manager - Hardware has overall responsibility for the management of the Hardware Team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency with project delivery. The core purpose is to ensure that the project delivery is within the agreed timeframe and based on the product cost and performance targets.
Leading a team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Assembly Engineers, this role sets the team attainable goals, for projects to be delivered on time. The role provides the team with guidance to encourage good work productivity and will ensure that team successes and challenges are shared to support a culture of continuous improvement.
The Technical Manager also uses their technical knowledge to educate and support the wider business in ensuring understanding of the technicalities of the hardware function.
To assign and manage the delivery of the Hardware Teams project plans and ensure the products in the development pipeline are delivered on time and to target (bill of material cost and performance).
To lead, motivate, and develop the Hardware Engineering Team, ensuring they have guidance and clear deliverables in place.
Ensure Senior members have visibility of the performance of the Hardware Engineering team by regularly reporting on project progression.
Ensure that the team is closely connected with the Software Controls Team on past, current, and future projects. Encouraging the team to get a better understanding of the Software side of the product development cycle.
Ensure clear and consistent communication and cross-functional working within the Hardware Engineering team and wider business so that everyone has an open forum where work issues and successes can be discussed.
Act as the first point of contact for the Hardware Engineering team, ensuring work is delegated out accordingly.
Act as Senior peer reviewer for the work to both assist and adhere to formal processes when applicable.
As the Technical expert, use experience to support other teams in the delivery of their work in any way which is required. Sharing knowledge and educating others on the technicalities of electrical hardware.
Ensure all work produced by the Hardware team is delivered efficiently and to the highest appropriate quality.
