Requirements\Qualifications
- 3–5 years wide territory field sales experience.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to build strategic business plans and execute.
- Solid communication skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a geographically spread team.
- A customer-first mindset.
- You deliver at the highest levels of customer service.
- A team-focused orientation.
- You leverage relationships with your team to the organisation's benefit.
- The ability to travel across the territory 50%.
- Experience selling vegetable seeds or providing technical support to vegetable growers in Texas.
Responsibilities
- Develop a territory-specific annual sales plan that includes goals, strategies and tactics aligned with the companies yearly plan and multi-year strategy.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the territory-specific annual sales plan.
- Monitor and report on competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, shipping fees, merchandising, volume, etc.
- Work with Finance/Accounts Receivable on customer terms.
- Work with growers in the territory to:
- Support territory product trials with Product Managers and the Regional Product Development Rep.
- Identify and communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback.
- Specifically bring back regional variety favourites' for product manager review and trial with a goal of adding to product portfolio.
- Participate in customer-facing webinars and educational events.
- Travel to regional trade shows, conferences, and conduct grower visits.
- Participate in all company-wide and quarterly meetings.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams as the Commercial Sales Team representative, bringing the customer perspective and gaining a greater understanding of the other functional areas' roles, responsibilities, opportunities, and challenges.
