A global leader in innovative food processing equipment is seeking an Applications Specialist to join its North American team.

This is your opportunity to work for a high-integrity, technically driven organization that provides cutting-edge solutions across the meat, dairy, bakery, pet food, and alternative protein sectors. This position plays a critical role in supporting customer success by testing and commissioning technologies, troubleshooting equipment performance, and conducting training both internally and at customer sites.

Location:

Based out of Illinois area with 50–75% travel across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of advanced food processing equipment.
  • Conduct internal product tests and collaborate with customers on-site to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Document testing results and develop technical materials.
  • Deliver hands-on training programs for customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized technical center and manage testing resources (equipment, ingredients, samples).
  • Serve as a liaison between technical support teams, customers, and internal departments (service, sales, engineering).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Science, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in food manufacturing (meat, dairy, pet food, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of food production processes, particularly meat processing.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able and willing to travel frequently (domestic and occasional international).

Technical Proficiency:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with general office and technical documentation tools.
