Business Development Manager – Labeling Equipment Solutions

Location: Remote, United States (Preference: Near Major Airport)


The Opportunity

An innovative industrial equipment manufacturer is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead market expansion efforts for their labeling solutions business across North America. This role is critical in driving sustainable and profitable growth by developing a strategic partner network and supporting direct sales efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a business development strategy focused on revenue growth and market penetration
  • Identify target markets and shape go-to-market strategies tailored to specific segments
  • Develop deep expertise in the product portfolio, business environment, and competitive landscape
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a network of channel partners (distributors, agents, system integrators) across verticals such as wine, spirits, food, beverage, beer, and personal/home care
  • Collaborate with the direct sales team to support growth with key accounts
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with strategic clients
  • Monitor and manage business development budgets, forecasts, and resources
  • Lead contract negotiations, securing favorable terms and sustainable partnerships
  • Evaluate the performance of business development initiatives and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Provide market intelligence on trends, pricing, competition, pipeline, and forecasts
  • Actively prospect and generate new business leads


Candidate Profile

Education & Languages

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Additional languages are a plus


Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years in business development or sales, with a successful track record in growth-oriented roles
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitive strategies within industrial/packaging equipment
  • Demonstrated success in client acquisition and partnership management
  • Skilled in negotiation, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in CRM and business intelligence tools
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
