Basic Function
Our solutions provided by our clients cover the entire Power Plant Water Intakes Screening Process, as well as WWTP Municipal mechanical treatment. – with low maintenance costs and the industry's highest equipment lifetime. We have numerous US installations.
The primary function of our Field Service Engineer is to inspect, install, commission, configure, troubleshoot, and support products and equipment, mostly mechanical machinery, 5 – 80 foot sizes, as well as electromechanical equipment. Additionally, provide warranty support and customer O&M training. The individual independently handles complex issues, offers customer training, suggests upgrades/improvements and works hands-on with service equipment. The ultimate target is to increase our service presence and sales of spare parts and services.
Our Field Service Engineer travels up to 70 % (2-3 weeks per month as needed and when required) to client locations (especially power plants -1st priority and wastewater treatment plants 2nd priority). Supporting our customers and our internal project and sales teams based in Germany and Western Michigan.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Installs, configures, troubleshoots, performs start-up, and maintains products/equipment.
- Identifies, analyses, and repairs product failures, and installs new components or parts without direct supervision.
- Works with product engineering and sales teams to develop creative solutions for unique, chronic, or complex issues and situations.
- Provides customer training on features and general maintenance of the product.
- Has deep knowledge of the organisation's products, processes, and services.
- Assists customers with aftermarket questions about products and recommends appropriate upgrades, including contracts, services, and spare parts.
- Develops positive relationships with our existing clients.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Arrange your travel plans & schedule.
- Supporting and travelling with tools, special items will be supplied by the company
- Maintain and document service in CRM tool, project files, expenses report reimbursement program, and provide trip reports to supervisor & customer, documenting activities.
- Perform various other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills
- 3-7 years of field service experience, preferably in the fossil and nuclear power market
- Associate’s degree preferred, Bachelor's degree or a technician in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering.
- Experienced and demonstrated mechanical skills.
- Stainless Steel & Aluminium metal working - assembly skills – preferred. (I
- Control panel PLC programming experience -(Software programming Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) preferred.
- Experience working with clients to identify optimal solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving solving and facilitation skills.
- Lives preferably in the Great Lakes region, Florida or on the East Coast region
- Software proficiency to include Windows, Microsoft Office.
