We are working alongside our client in the Recycling sector based in the United States to hire

a Field Service Technician.

The Client

Our client is a prominent provider of recycling and waste processing equipment throughout North America. They deliver cutting-edge machinery for material recovery facilities (MRFs) and specialize in optimizing the sorting and processing of a diverse range of recyclables, including paper, plastics, glass, metals, and organics.


Location: Los Angeles, California


The Role

This role involves full responsibility for the turn-key installation, servicing, and maintenance of industrial machinery. The position requires troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving electrical issues on-site. Responsibilities include maintaining close communication with customers throughout installations, service visits, and training sessions. Preventative maintenance inspections are regularly required, along with customer training on equipment operation and standard maintenance practices.


Approximately 90% of the work involves travel, with about 60% occurring within a designated territory near your home base. Occasional travel to Canada, Mexico, and other parts of Central America may be necessary.


Requirements\Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, connection drawings, and mechanical blueprints. Experience with 480V electrical systems is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with large industrial machinery is advantageous. Strong troubleshooting skills are highly valued — the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently in the field is key.
  • Effective verbal communication in English is required. Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, French, Dutch, German, or Polish) are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. As a Field Service Technician, you will be the face of the company, and professionalism and customer focus are critical.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours and stay overnight at job sites when needed.
