Our client are a global leader within flavors and fragrances. They are currently looking for a Flavorist/Senior Flavorist to join their team in Bangkok and work from their Creative Center for South East Asia. The role will focus on flavor development across South East Asia with a focus on beverage and confectionary customers.
The role will be responsible for leading projects from concept to delivery and increasing win rate in the region.
The Role
• Take the lead in the creation, development, and optimization of flavor solutions, with a strong focus on beverages, as well as confectionery and dairy, tailored to the needs of the Southeast Asian market.
• Act as a key support to the sales team, working closely with R&D, marketing, and commercial functions to respond to customer briefs with proactive, targeted flavor solutions. Regular travel across the region is expected to meet clients, present innovations, and co-develop projects on site.
• Contribute directly to the local production setup, ensuring that flavor formulations are both creative and feasible for industrial scale-up, in line with technical, regulatory, and client-specific requirements (allergens, Halal, Kosher).
• Select and evaluate raw materials, conduct sensory assessments, and ensure compliance throughout the development process—from lab trials to final product delivery.
• Maintain a proactive outlook on market and technology trends, through trade shows, publications, and supplier exchanges, and help shape a competitive, evolving regional flavor portfolio.
The Requirements
• Multiple years of experience as a flavorist with deep technical knowledge and market insight
• Experience in sweet flavor creation for beverage and confectionary is a must.
• Master’s degree in chemistry or food technology
• Fluent in English, French would be a plus
