The Role & Responsibilities

The role of Geotechnical Project Manager is an exciting and senior level opportunity to join an expanding team and business who are heavily invested in the Civil Engineering & Transportation Infrastructure sectors.


This opportunity will focus on the Geotechnical design and engineering across a wide portfolio of transportation projects including roads, highways, pavement, bridges, rail, slopes, utilities and other buildings/related projects in the local region.


As Project Manager, the role will also focus the preparation of plans and reports across the Geotech sectors, undertake the supervision of field investigations as well as review design and provide technical recommendations as well the construction administration of the geotechnical aspects of each project.


  • Oversee the successful project management including design and engineering of a wide portfolio of Geotechnical projects in the region.
  • Utilise your experience and expertise to provide technical solutions and designs to Geotechnical related projects.
  • Undertake the preparation of construction documents and reports, construction cost estimates, oversee the QA/QC of design work and work closely with project teams.
  • Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and acting as a liaison across the project duration.
  • Assisting the internal business development and marketing efforts to help secure future projects and work.


Requirements\Qualifications

  • Educated with a Bachelor of Science in a related field.
  • P.E Certified.
  • Demonstrable experience of Geotechnical engineering and design on transportation projects in the USA.
  • Demonstrable understanding of DOT standards and specifications (ideally VDOT).
  • Ability to use industry software applications including (but not limited too) LPile/APile, AASHTOWare, gINT, Slide, Open Grounds and Settle 3.
