Description
The Key Account Manager, Industrial Specialitiess, is responsible for developing strategic plans to support engagement and drive revenue growth by alignin solutions with customer needs. The ideal candidate will combine relationship management expertise with strategic business development to drive long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account level business plans for assigned large accounts to optimize account performance and profitability
- Partner with leadership, Principal Director to develop and grow relationships with suppliers to support key account program
- Expand strategic partnerships by creating demand for product offerings and services through value creation and customer excellence.
- Regularly conduct business reviews to evaluate account status, address concerns and identify new business opportunities
- Act as main point of contact for assigned accounts, collaborating with regional sales teams to ensure customer needs are met and relationships are expanded
- Serve as negotiator for long-term supply agreements with involvement from senior leadership or other stakeholders as necessary
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, and product development) to allocate resources and deliver tailored solutions to clients
- Monitor market trends, analyzing customer data, and providing regular reports to management on key account performance and market insights.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, life sciences or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, B2B account management and customer-facing roles within the US specialty chemical distribution market
- Proven track record of managing and growing large/national accounts and delivering strategic presentations
- Demonstrated knowledge of Industrial Specialties consumer and market trends. Expertise in the of (CASE, Oil & Gas, Lubricants) market highly preferred.
- A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of working in opportunity pipeline and CRM systems.
