Our client is a global leader within ingredients, flavors and fragrances. They are an industry leader at the forefront of innovation and sustainability.
Due to the continued growth and success of the business in the US they are looking to add Senior Maintenance Technicians to work in their facility in St. Louis. The St. Louis facility is a 24/5 facility and one that plays an integral role in manufacturing key ingredients for US customers.
We are looking for an individual well versed in mechanical and electrical maintenance with a knowledge of troubleshooting, reading blueprints and ability to work as a team player.
The Role
- Leverage knowledge and ability to operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools.
- Demonstrate experience in maintenance trades and components (ex. Low voltage electrical (240V and less), PLC, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, valves, mechanical maintenance, steam system, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
- Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout the facility, with limited direction in a CMMS system. Document completed work and the conditions found utilizing maintenance computer software and interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations.
- Operating forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts following standard production documentation to deliver to the correct location.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensure adherence to all management systems including, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and FSSC 22000, with an understanding of quality and environmental Policies and Procedures.
The Requirements
- High School Diploma with Trade School Certificate or equivalent is required.
- 5 years or more of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in a food industry facility with electrical skills.
- Maintenance/ Industrial certification required.
- Experience in reading blueprints and manuals is required.
- Class II Stationary Engineering License is a plus.
- Experience PLC programming is a plus.
