Description
Constructability Manager – Data Center Projects (Georgia)
We are partnered with a leading electrical contractor delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects across the U.S. They are seeking a skilled Constructability Manager to join their team on a hyperscale data center project in Lithia Springs, GA.
This position will serve as the key link between design and construction, ensuring seamless integration of BIM models with real-world installation. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise in electrical systems with hands-on construction experience, driving efficiency, quality, and constructability throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully understand project requirements, drawings, specifications, and installation methods.
- Act as the lead for integrating BIM design with field installation, ensuring constructability at every stage.
- Collaborate directly with Project Supervision and the Design Team to maintain design progress, issue installation drawings, and manage as-built updates.
- Conduct constructability reviews with a strong grasp of electrical and mechanical installation techniques.
- Work closely with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop strategies, define scope, and resolve installation challenges.
- Serve as the liaison between contractors, suppliers, designers, and engineers to streamline problem-solving.
- Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports on progress, risks, and project developments for senior management.
- Maintain accurate project records including design drawings, shop drawings, O&M manuals, and as-built documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all design coordination matters.
- Be based on-site for the duration of the project.
Key Requirements:
- Proven data center project experience is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 7+ years’ experience in electrical field operations (Journeyman or Master Electrician strongly preferred).
- Prior experience as an Electrical Superintendent in data center or industrial projects is advantageous.
- Successful track record managing electrical scopes in the $20M–$100M+ range.
- Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, with the ability to interpret and apply outputs from multiple software platforms (not hands-on modeling).
- Proficiency in software such as Bluebeam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, and Primavera P6.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements including background and MVR checks.
This is a high-impact opportunity to join a contractor delivering some of the most advanced data center builds in the U.S., bridging the gap between engineering design and real-world execution.
