Description
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineers to join my clients team team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimising and maintaining production processes to meet the highest standards of product quality, efficiency, and safety. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, applying engineering principles to ensure consistent output.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize process parameters for crushing, screening, washing, flotation, and drying of high purity quartz.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, yield, and throughput.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support commissioning and integration of new equipment, control systems, and automation technologies.
- Ensure compliance with strict product purity specifications, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to evaluate process changes and material trials.
- Maintain accurate process documentation, SOPs, and production data reports.
- Train and support operations personnel in process best practices and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mineral processing, industrial minerals, or chemical manufacturing (experience with quartz or silica preferred).
- Knowledge of crushing, milling, flotation, magnetic separation, and classification processes.
- Familiarity with quality systems and analytical methods for purity measurement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
