Project Manager – Services (North America)
Location: Atlanta, GA
The Opportunity
An industry-leading company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and execute service-related projects, particularly those focused on equipment upgrades, line conversions, and packaging system enhancements across North America. This is a strategic role with a strong technical emphasis, involving both customer-facing and internal cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, presentation, and execution of services projects tailored to client needs
- Assess the technical feasibility and associated risks to determine appropriate project support levels
- Act as a key integrator across service projects, including equipment and line upgrades
- Recommend additional service solutions to ensure successful project delivery and enhance customer satisfaction
- Ensure all projects meet quality, budget, and delivery timeline requirements from pre-contract phase through final acceptance
- Manage any project-related crises and lead corrective action planning across stakeholders
- Support the services sales team with technical input, proposal development, and customer presentations
- Maintain up-to-date project records for accurate internal and external reporting
- Coordinate on-site technician activities
- Oversee Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSE&S) plans throughout project lifecycles
Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field
Languages
- Fluency in English is required
- Additional language skills such as French or Italian are an advantage, depending on region.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience with strong technical capabilities
- Familiarity with full production lines, machine upgrades, and modifications – ideally within the packaging or industrial equipment sector
- Ability to interpret technical documents, including maintenance manuals and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Project and SAP is a plus
