Our clients' solutions cover the entire Power Plant Water Intakes Screening Process as well as WWTP Municipal mechanical treatment. – with low maintenance costs and the industry's highest equipment lifetime. We have numerous US installations.
The primary function of our USA Sales Manager is focused on growth in the US and Canada Power (Water Intake Screening/Cooling Water) as well as Municipal (Water Intake Screening and Wastewater mechanical pre-treatment) markets. We are seeking a passionate and driven individual with technical experience in the power (fossil and nuclear), water and wastewater technology to develop and handle reps in the municipal market. Your contact with engineering firms will lead to the specification of our unique and patented machinery for tenders on the capital equipment market.
For the Power market, you will primarily accompany our current Senior Sales Consultant based in the US (New York) to learn from and accompany him over the next few years. You are in charge of strategic planning, development of the area and execution of the sales effort.
The right candidate will have a solid engineering background and be ready to use or develop excellent sales, communication and presentation skills to effectively manage his/her sales territory. The key to success in this position is proven sales ability, relationship-building skills, process investigation capabilities and a strong work ethic.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Managing manufacturers’ reps, agents and distributors and evaluating their performance in promoting our clients' key brands
- Selling products and services to the Power Industry and Municipalities
- Presenting technologies to consulting engineering firms to get them specified in upcoming projects.
- Working with contractors /integrators that package equipment and components in the design and construction of water treatment systems to incorporate our clients' brands
- Being the eyes and ears of our clients within the power/industrial market in the territory and reporting on customer acceptance, market trends, competitor activity, etc.
- Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and the company policies of our client.
- Must know the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
Desired Skills and Experience
- BS or MSc (preferably) degree in engineering or other related technical discipline
- Knowledge of the specific markets and projects business (capital equipment)
- Experience managing manufacturers’ rep firms
- Ability to develop customised engineering solutions on projects
- Ability to make technical presentations to consulting engineers
- Basic technical knowledge of water processing
- Solid communication and follow-up skills
- approx. 50% travel within the territory
- Occasional out-of-territory/international travel required for sales training sessions
- Valid drivers license
- Allowance to enter power (nuclear and fossil) and industrial plants
- 10+ years of successful direct outside sales experience, ideally in water treatment products (e.g. filters, pumps, screens, heat exchangers, etc.)
