Description
Our client is a global leader within flavours and seasonings. We are looking for a Senior Development Technologist to join their UK team and work on the creation for one of their largest global accounts.
The Role
- Creatively compose and match marketable seasonings and flavourings to meet customer needs and market trends, proactively identifying new opportunities and reactively responding to market shifts.
- Work closely with R&D and marketing teams to ensure that flavour profiles align with target consumer segments and brand objectives.
- Ensure seasonings are both innovative and commercially viable, ensuring they meet contract quality standards and production capabilities.
- Reformulate existing products to optimise quality, cost-efficiency, and productivity, while maintaining alignment with technical and commercial goals.
- Continuously monitor and benchmark product quality to ensure consistency and excellence in both new and existing products.
- Work with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and flavouring solutions, generating product samples and costings for customer presentations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, R&D teams and cross-functional stakeholders across the region.
- Support R&D, production, and scale-up teams in managing product scale-up, localisation, transfer, and customer-specific requirements.
- Work to address customers' functionality-related issues, engage in root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure a positive and ambitious environment to foster innovation and success.
- Successfully lead key customer projects and proactive initiatives to achieve strategic business wins.
The requirements
- 8+ years’ experience working within snacks and seasonings development.
- Experience working with global customers.
- Experience leading end-to-end product development from ideation to commercialisation.
- Extensive knowledge of seasonings formulations for snack and dry applications.
- Willing to work onsite 5 days per week at the UK HQ, roughly 1 hour from London.
