The Role & Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Estimator, you will be directly responsible for the preparation of contract and project estimates across a wide portfolio of heavy civil infrastructure projects including highways, roads, heavy structures as well as earthworks and underground utilities.
You will undertake the creation and understanding of project plans, takeoffs and specifications to help create a full overview of the estimation work required. As the Senior Estimator, you will have responsibility for the project scopes across traditional bid/build projects as well as alternative methods including design build (DB) and others.
Other responsibilities will include using industry software applications including HCSS to create comprehensive project estimates, undertake subcontractor quotations, review proposals, mitigate project risks and maintain working files/documents.
Requirements\Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of estimating experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects in the USA. (highways, roads, heavy structures as well as earthworks and underground utilities)
- Proficient using software applications including MS Office, estimating software such as HCSS.
- Ability to build and maintain CPM project schedules.
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
