Position Overview

We are partnering with a leading manufacturer and provider of industrial printing, labeling, coding and marking solutions to recruit a National Account Manager.

The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing and growing relationships with strategic customers that have multiple locations and a national presence across the United States.


This is a highly customer-facing position combining strategic account management, business development and technical solution selling. The successful candidate will work closely with regional sales teams to identify opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships and increase revenue across equipment, consumables and service solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of designated national accounts across the United States.
  • Develop new business opportunities within large, multi-site organizations.
  • Sell a portfolio of industrial labeling, coding and marking equipment, consumables and service solutions.
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to develop and execute national account strategies.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations, equipment trials and site audits.
  • Follow up on qualified leads and proactively identify new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate customer, prospect and opportunity information within the CRM.
  • Provide regular reporting on account activity, pipeline development and sales opportunities.
  • Remain current on market trends, customer applications and relevant technology developments.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to other members of the sales organization when required.


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A proven track record of success within B2B technical or industrial sales.
  • Experience managing large, strategic or multi-location customer accounts.
  • Previous exposure to coding & marking, labeling, printing, packaging machinery, industrial automation or related manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong business development and account management capabilities.
  • The ability to identify customer needs and match those requirements with appropriate products and services.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to understand industrial equipment and applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A self-motivated approach with the ability to operate independently in a remote, field-based position.
  • A college education or equivalent demonstrable professional sales experience.


Travel Requirements

This is a national, field-based sales position requiring regular travel to customer locations throughout the United States, including overnight travel.

Candidates should be comfortable operating independently, managing their own schedule and spending significant time visiting customers and prospects.
