The Role

Responsible for driving machine sales, customer acquisition, and grower adoption, owning the full commercial cycle from prospecting through to deployment and repeat business.

Responsibilities

  • Ground all product work in a deep understanding of the customer problem - define what's being solved and for whom before moving to solutions
  • Conduct customer discovery with growers and ag retailers to surface pain points and unmet needs; synthesize findings into clear product direction
  • Partner with the Product Lead to maintain and evolve the product roadmap, making sound prioritization calls without waiting for perfect information
  • Draft and iterate on requirements, user stories, and feature specs - using AI tools to improve clarity and speed
  • Translate agronomic and operational insights into detailed requirements for our international engineering team - with enough technical rigor to support sprint planning, tradeoff decisions, and engineering execution and monitor progress against them
  • Contribute to the design process and validate decisions through usability testing
  • Evaluate build/buy/partner tradeoffs with cost, margin, and business outcomes in mind
  • Research competitive offerings and market trends to sharpen product positioning and roadmap decisions.

Requirements\Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of product management experience owning the full lifecycle from discovery through launch
  • Strong understanding of software development processes - requirements definition, sprint planning, technical tradeoffs, and cross-functional execution with engineering teams
  • Experience across at least two company sizes - startup, mid-size, or enterprise - with the ability to adapt accordingly
  • Comfort using AI tools to accelerate requirements writing, prototyping, research synthesis, and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in resource-constrained environments
  • Experience collaborating with international or distributed engineering teams
  • Financial acumen - understanding of how product decisions impact costs, margins, and outcomes
  • Intellectually curious, open to feedback, and comfortable operating without all the answers
  • Bachelor's degree required; Agriculture, Business, Data Science, or Engineering preferred
  • Agriculture or AgTech experience strongly preferred; familiarity with agronomy, ag retail workflows, or farm data products is a plus - curiosity and willingness to learn matter most
