Mackinnon Bruce is partnered with a leading global fragrance house to secure a Fragrance Evaluator to join their US business and be based out of their NJ creative centre. Our client is a global leader in the industry with a strong creative and commercial presence in North America.
This role will focus predominately on creative projects for national and international customers across North America.
The role will report into the VP of Evaluation and will be responsible for selecting and evaluating fragrances across categories including fine fragrance, personal care, home care and air care. We’re looking for an individual who can evaluate and analysis the performance of fragrances and translate that into winning briefs and creations for customers.
Job Requirements:
- Support the team of perfumers when requested during the creative process
- Provide the sales team with winning fragrances and align on client strategies
- Strong awareness of most market categories and leading brands
- Able to identify olfactive trends in the market and identify customers’ needs and gaps within their brands
- Close collaboration with the marketing team
- Create/generate olfactive descriptions
- Support and participate in expert sensory panels
- Coordinate with Global teams to ensure a good exchange of library fragrances
- Help ensure brief deadlines are met and/or convey project status to all teams
The Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetics or related field is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Fragrance Evaluation
- Knowledge of basic regulatory guidelines and fragrance raw materials
- Excellent olfactive skills
- Show of initiative and creativity along with a good sense of procedures
- High organizational skills
- Strong ability to make decisions
