Location
Hybrid – Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Ideally 2-3X per week in the office.

The Role
Responsible for leading the company's engineering organisation, with ownership of software delivery, engineering execution, release management, quality assurance, customer-facing technical operations, security, and IT. Working closely alongside the Chief Technology Officer, this individual will translate long-term technical strategy into reliable execution while building a scalable, high-performing engineering organisation capable of supporting continued company growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day engineering execution across multiple software development teams
- Partner closely with the CTO to execute technical strategy, platform modernisation initiatives, and engineering roadmaps
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing engineering managers and technical teams
- Own engineering delivery, planning, resource management, and operational execution
- Establish predictable delivery processes, engineering metrics, and operational governance
- Own release management across all customer and white-label software platforms
- Lead Quality Assurance strategy, test automation, release readiness, and continuous quality improvement
- Build and lead a world-class Technical Support organisation with clear escalation paths, SLAs, and incident management processes
- Oversee customer-facing technical delivery for existing and future white-label platforms, strategic partnerships, and commercial implementations
- Lead Security and IT operations, ensuring robust internal systems, governance, and technical enablement across the business
- Improve Agile delivery processes, engineering standards, and cross-functional collaboration
- Develop engineering KPIs covering delivery performance, release quality, customer support, incident response, and operational maturity
- Collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, Commercial, and Executive Leadership to support company objectives
- Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability, quality, customer success, and continuous improvement
Requirements / Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience within SaaS, enterprise software, Ag-Tech, software platforms, or technology-driven businesses
- Proven experience leading engineering organisations through managers within a scaling software company
- Strong track record of improving engineering execution, delivery predictability, and operational performance
- Experience leading software delivery across complex cloud-based applications and customer-facing platforms
- Strong understanding of Agile software development, engineering operations, and organisational scaling
- Experience overseeing release management, software quality, and engineering governance
- Experience building and developing high-performing engineering organisations
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, scaling technology business
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution
