Description

Our client is a global leader within the fragrance and flavors industry. Due to continued growth in the European region, they are looking to hire a Key Account Manager is responsible for selling the company's fragrance portfolio, building reliable long-term client relationships of mutual benefit across the DACH region with a focus on home and personal care fragrances.


The Role

  • Grow and develop sales with existing clients while generating new business with prospective customers
  • Supervise and manage the daily tasks of a Sales Administrator Fragrances, organising workflow, supervising attendance and ensuring clarity on duties and delegated tasks
  • Define goals and deadlines, communicate objectives, conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Plan, establish and execute customer development plans
  • Manage price negotiations with customers, supported by the commercial line manager
  • Establish sales budgets and update forecasts regularly
  • Act as trusted partner and primary contact for customers
  • Serve as the link between customers, marketing and internal teams
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints to maintain trust
  • Drive new sales that develop into long-lasting relationships
  • Manage specific customer agreements (confidentiality, commercial contracts) in conjunction with relevant departments (Legal, R&D, Management)
  • Agree expenses budget with management and commit to the financial framework
  • Communicate regularly with Customer Service and other functions (e.g. regulatory) to ensure satisfactory service levels
  • Complete administrative documents to support internal communication (visit reports, claims, etc.)


The Requirements

  • 7+ years of account management experience in the fragrance industry. Experience must be on the fragrance house side not customer/brand side.
  • Experience selling into customers within home and personal care.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Willingness to travel across DACH region and Benelux up to 30%.
