Our client is a leading fragrance and flavor manufacturer with an extensive history in the US and globally. For the past 50+ years they have development fragrances into home, personal care and fine fragrances.
Due to continued growth of the business, they are looking to hire a Perfumer/Senior Perfumer depending on experience level to join the business. The role will be responsible for creating innovative and winning fragrances across personal care. home care and fine fragrances for national and international clients.
The Role
- Create and develop fragrance formulas by combining various essential oils, aroma chemicals, and other ingredients.
- Experiment with different scent combinations to achieve unique and harmonious fragrance profiles.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues related to fragrance performance or stability.
- Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to understand specific fragrance requirements for new products.
- Monitor and analyse global fragrance trends, incorporating insights into the development of new scents.
- Propose innovative fragrance concepts that align with current and future market demands.
- Keep abreast of regulatory requirements related to fragrance ingredients and labelling.
The Requirements
- Degree educated in chemistry, perfumery or related field.
- Further education to MSc level within fragrance creation preferred.
- Proven experience working as a perfumer in the industry with a wins across home and personal care.
- Strong creative skills and ability to translate concepts into winning fragrances.
- Excellent olfactive abilities and sensory evaluation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple briefs at one time in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to collaborate and partner with other perfumers and wider creative team across marketing and evaluation.
