Mackinnon Bruce are currently partnered with an industry leading within high quality, plant based raw materials that supply food & beverage, personal care, cosmetics, pet care, and industrial markets through a team driven by customer focus, collaboration, and accountability.
The role will cover the Southeast territory with a focus on Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. The position can be remote based in any of these states.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a results-driven Account Manager to grow our clients oleochemical business across an assigned U.S. territory. You will own customer relationships end-to-end, drive profitable growth, and expand presence across specialty markets including personal care, cleaning, lubricants, food, and pharma.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow sales and margin within your territory by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with both new and existing customers
- Act as the primary commercial contact, managing relationships from prospecting through contract negotiation and ongoing account management
- Build and execute territory plans using CRM data, pipeline management, and sales forecasting
- Generate new leads through industry associations, trade shows, and networking, converting opportunities into long-term partnerships
- Represent the business externally at relevant industry events while maintaining accurate CRM records and ensuring customers receive correct technical and regulatory information
Key Requirements
- 4+ years in B2B sales or account management within chemicals, specialty materials, or technical products
- Working knowledge of oleochemicals, specialty chemicals, or related applications
- Strong commercial acumen with a consultative, customer-centric approach and ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with willingness to travel extensively (3-4 days per week) within the Southeast region
