We are working alongside our client in the Environmental Science Sector to hire a Innovation Sourcing & Partnership Manager, APAC. This role will be based at their Tokyo office.

The client
Our client is an established Pesticide developer and manufacturer. Their HQ is in the US and they have a strong presence in the APAC region.
Location: Onsite
The Role
- Responsible for identifying, evaluating, securing and managing external innovation opportunities that support current and future portfolio needs.
- Serve as the primary innovation interface across Japan and the broader APAC region.
- Build relationships with companies, universities, research institutes to access differentiated technologies, active ingredients, biologicals and enabling technologies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate external technologies, active ingredients, biologicals, formulations and platform technologies relevant to business priorities.
- Establish and maintain strategic partner relationships across APAC, with emphasis on Japan. Position the company as a preferred partner for licensing and co-development.
- Partner closely with R&D, Regulatory, Legal, IP and Marketing Functions.
Requirements\Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.S or PhD) in agriculture, biology, chemistry, entomology, plant pathology, weed science or related area.
- 5+ years experience in agricultural technology, crop protection, biologicals.
- Experience working with external partners in Japan and APAC.
- Ability to evaluate scientific and technical opportunities
