The Role
They are looking for a commercially driven Senior Account Manager to join our Flavours division, focused on the UK savoury market. This is a hybrid role combining strategic account management with active new business development, sitting within a high-performing and collaborative sales team.
You will be the primary commercial contact for a portfolio of savoury customers across the UK, responsible for growing and deepening existing relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities. You will work closely with internal teams including applications, marketing, and R&D to deliver tailored flavour solutions that meet customer briefs and drive mutual growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing savoury accounts across the UK, driving revenue and share of wallet
- Develop and execute account plans with clear growth targets and strategic objectives
- Identify, prospect, and win new business opportunities within the UK savoury flavours market
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their product development needs and aligning our flavours portfolio to deliver solutions
- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts, and terms
- Collaborate with internal application and technical teams to support customer briefs and project pipelines
- Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows across the UK
- Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Several years of experience in account management or business development within a flavours environment
- Proven track record of growing accounts and winning new business in a B2B setting
- Strong knowledge of the savoury flavours category and the UK food and beverage landscape
- UK-based with the ability and willingness to travel frequently to customers and company sites
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously
Desirable:
- Experience working with food manufacturers or ingredient suppliers in the savoury segment
- Existing network within the UK savoury food and beverage industry
- Familiarity with technical flavour applications and the product development process
