Description

A 12-month maternity cover contract sitting within the Fragrance Innovation team. The role focuses on managing existing upstream innovation projects across a multi-category portfolio, working with internal and external development partners. Reporting to the Head of Air Care, with close collaboration across global and local regulatory, safety and sustainability teams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end scoping, planning and execution of a multi-category innovation pipeline
  • Develop and refine innovation briefs for Flavour and Fragrance House partners, ensuring best practice briefing principles are followed 
  • Ensure all F&F recommendations comply with the latest safety and regulatory requirements, working closely with functional experts
  • Collaborate with R&D to apply best practice sensory, consumer and performance testing when validating new innovations
  • Support fragrance evaluation and olfactive performance across product stability, safety paperwork, project reviews and timeline planning 
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Sensory and Design teams to support rapid rollout and execution

  • Delivering a competitive and commercially viable innovation pipeline with a strong sensorial focus 
  • Managing complex timelines, milestones and relationships across internal and external partners 
  • Operating effectively in a matrix environment across global teams


Skills & Experience 

  • Several of experience within a Flavour or Fragrance House, or within an FMCG environment working on fragrance/flavour-led innovation or product development
  • Proven project management experience in a cross-functional, international environment
  • Experience with fragrance evaluation, ideally across personal care, home fragrance or laundry
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in vendor/supplier relationship management


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, psychology, fragrance, flavour or a relevant discipline
  • Above average olfactive acuity; ability to test products of varying fragrances
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
