Description

Our client is a high growth Flavor and Fragrance organisation in the US. Due to the continued growth and development plans of the organisation they are looking to hire a new VP of Sales for the Flavors division.


The VP of Flavor Sales is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving growth strategy across the Flavors business segment. This individual will lead the sales team, build brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and take ownership of increasing total revenue and market share.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop long-term business plans and revenue goals aligned with company capacity and marketing activity
  • Analyse market trends and competitor data to identify new growth opportunities
  • Manage the sales budget effectively

Sales Leadership

  • Design and own the sales process from lead generation through to close
  • Set sales metrics, territories, quotas, and pricing
  • Oversee pipeline accuracy, data metrics, and sales forecasting
  • Build and maintain relationships with major accounts and key partners

Marketing Integration

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on brand positioning, messaging, and market visibility
  • Track marketing ROI and conversion rates to ensure alignment with sales initiatives

Team Leadership

  • Hire, mentor, and coach a high-performing sales team
  • Foster a strong, results-driven culture across the organisation

Skills

  • Strong financial acumen and forecasting capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of CRM platforms and data analytics
  • Deep understanding of sales methodologies and marketing strategy

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in food ingredients, flavors, or additives
  • Proven track record leading and developing sales and marketing teams
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, organisational, and technology proficiency
  • Solid understanding of P&L targets and commercial accountability
